... we were so glad to finally get home at 4:11 in the morning and to see Melanie and Lily waiting for us. We were all very tires.

What a trip! I loved every minute of it!...except the Vertigo! And, it was so special spending this time with Roy and, of course, Hannah and Justin. We are looking forward to many more memories such as this. Can't wait to share them with all of ...

... the Metro station to look at the White House (fairly close). The street on the backside (away from the mall) was blocked off and was being guarded. After a few minutes, we could hear police sirens and then a motorcade appeared -- police cars, black SUVs, and a black tour bus (at least that's what it looked like), but none of the vehicles went into the White House ground proper; they just stopped at the end of the blocked-off street. We were too ...

... great night at a local Asian place and what better way to top off a great day than with a sambuca.
Nov 18 We're leaving on a jet plane ....but not before we have another 1st - made our own waffles for brekkie...pretty good. The mad taxi driver had me thinking the plane was going to be a piece of cake but it wasn't...damn it!!! The plane was old and carry on luggage had to be stowed in its belly. Flight was bit bumpy but got in 30 mins early which pleased me no end. Transfer ...
