    ... group was doing a similar trip from Florida north as far as Canada, but unlike us they are completing it in two weeks.
    We are now taking a short break from our travels and heading back to Illinois during the weekend. Next Wednesday Jens flies back to Copenhagen to attend a 50th soldier buddy anniversary. Our trip will resume when he returns in early September. There will be a short hiatus in the blog. See you again in September! ...

    Our walk continued back to the Hotel. We stopped at Trader Joe's so that we could get some food for dinner. A "home" cooked meal and a glass of wine.....yummy.... Then another walk through Foggy Bottom............

    Back at the hotel now, planning our day of exploring for tomorrow. Off to Virginia, to the National Cemetery.

    Great flight back from Dublin. We arrived in Washington right on time and our next flight posted to Columbia stated it was on time. So our layover was now only six hours. We were delighted. We would get to leave at our scheduled time, 10:03, and be back in Columbia at 11:30...YEAH!

    ... front of us was incredibly moving so I clicked and clicked, kept walking closer taking shots all the way up to the building. We then noticed a large water pond in front of us between us and the Capitol building and the xmas tress was twinkling. Then I noticed the Capitol building and the xmas tree were reflecting in the water and the most wonderful shots were created, yep, maybe out of focus and grainy but real shots, taken exactly as I saw it!
