12F when we awoke can't imagine what 75F even feels like any more. Packed up the car and headed to the airport with our car and house sitter Miss Elizabeth in tow. ... for Tel Aviv on Sunday :) I found out yesterday I'll be living in an apartment with 10 other people. It's going to be insane and beautiful. My work is less than half a mile from my apartment, so I can walk or bike there in less then 10 minutes. I'm super relieved! But before that comes, I'm off to spend a couple days in the big city. There was a BART strike so everyone was afraid that the traffic would be bizarre. I left Walnut Creek at 3 in the morning to make my 6:00 flight. I went the back way and wound all around Oakland. The thing about the backroad through Moraga is that it is very dark and the deer stand on the road. I drove very slowly so I wouldn't hit them.
