For people who love to see Aeroplane and Gliders Elmira Soaring Museum is a must visit. There are places where visitors can just sit and watch the gliders being towed up in the air, and there is also the possibility to purchase a Glider ride for yourself.

You can look at the pictures attached and see how the tow works and how the glide works.

Most of the people get an airtime of around 15 minutes in the glider. The day we visited, there ...

The south entrance is where the swimming pool is.We had our lunch here, and then started back walking taking the Gorge Trail. Found the pond with White Lotus flowers here.. and then touched the Indian Trail. Here were some stairs that took us in the caves ultimately ending in the waterfall This was the most crowded area we had seen so ...

I checked the weather when I woke up and it said thunderstorm warning for 2PM. Then I heard thunder …at 8:15 AM and the sky was dark gray. We had planned to go to the Corning Museum of Glass so that worked but 20 minutes later the sky was clear so we decided to drive into Watkins Glen to see Lake Seneca and maybe rent a kayak to Hector Falls. We went to Lakeside Park (which should be named Goose Poop Park) and walked , carefully, around there for a while. By then it was 9:45 ...

... was a nice little diversion. The spillway from the dam created a nice fall that we had seen at the back of the picnic area as we were coming in but we didn’t see a way to get to it. On the way back we saw a little footpath going down a slope into the area so we went that way. It seems like access to a picnic area (with tables) would be more obvious but we didn't see another way to access it even once we were in there.

... s. We loved this quaint little local's hideaway. The food was amazing, and the service outstanding. After dinner, we rode the last 45 minutes home, getting back a little after 10 o'clock. Tomorrow is a travel day from Watkin's Glen to Two Mile Run County Park in Franklin, PA. It's a short drive, only about 200 miles, but the winding country roads should make for a scenic trip. See you tomorrow from Franklin, PA!
