While listening to my most favorite song at the moment (Turtle, by Alana Davis), I've realized my trip has BEGUN!!!! It wasn't real until now. I'm sitting at my seat on my way to JFK airport, waiting for my dinner, and I don't really have much to say except that my excitement is finally here. No worrying, no doubting, just excitement. That's all for now. Sorry if you found this post boring, but sometimes you just gotta gloat. Love you ...
... kicked in!
We had a great day which was followed by an amazing dinner with Stan and his wife. They took us to a very fancy restaurant close to their home where they go on special occasions. We had great food and fantastic wine - a really lovely way to end our stay with these special people.
Hope to see you both in England soon - thank you for the amazing stay!!
Next stop....NEW ORLEANS!!

James is an historian, author, dramatic re-enactor and one half of a duo seeking to tell the history of the Spanish, Cuban and African ...
