Made the airport in time, despite spending the morning doing GST returns and other office stuff (and still packing!) Quantas changed our flight again for some reason, taking us through Sydney but blowing away our seat selections in the process. Hopefully we'll have enough layover time to go see the Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House before the last leg to ...

... Backdrop of cool mountains. Off to Canmore via a dirt road that an older couple we met told us to take. Saw one grizzly one black bear and a bunch of sheep. Oh and Zi nearly had a heart attack as the road got really really narrow with sheer pin drops! Had a beer and nachos at Grizzly Bear Paw restaurant then headed back to Calgary! ... I suppose.

It gets very cold here ... -15C in the winter (and that's without Wind Chill!), and lots of things are set up so that you can do things without going outdoors any more than you have to ... so, in the main Mall in the CBD there is an entire part of the upper level devoted to an indoor garden cum forest!!!

Anyway. tomorrow I am off to the Calgary Heritage Park.
