Just a short trip today only a little over an hour down into San Antonio for a two day stop over. San Antonio is a beautiful city with our hotel in downtown we were close to all attractions. ... They have flood barriers all around the city now to prevent the water levels dropping and rising. We done a little souvenir shopping and then went to the tower of the Americans which is the second tallest tower in america (we done the first tallest in Las Vegas) that was another pretty cool site, you could see so far into the distance! ... our hotel, it's a really nice atmosphere there with the red brick buildings and cobble stone roads. We ate in YO Ranch, we both had a salmon and spinach dish with onions almonds and dried cranberries, it was lovely but very filling considering it was mostly leaves! Facetimed the lovely rents and then went back up to the pool to chill for an hour or so before we catch the megabus to San Antonio! *something I've noticed, their billboards ...

We completed the route in pretty good time and then we drove straight to Fort Davis where we refreshed and headed up to North Americas largest space observatory and gazed at various planets and stars as the astronomers educated us. This was fascinating however sadly the visibility wasn't great however we still got a really good view of Saturn before heading back down and crashing to ...
Strolled down to the Alamo and spent a couple of hours wandering around and learning the history of the brave men who fought for Texas' independence. We had expected the Alamo to be surrounded by a little bit of country and were surprised to find that it is right in the middle of town. When looking out from the Alamo you see skyscraper hotels all around.
