We awoke to pouring rain, thunder and lightning which got us up and out earlier than usual. After a quick breakfast in Riley, we filled up with fuel and were on the road by 10. ... After getting the kid's pennies we drove north along the Illinois side of the Mississippi River to check out this area. Boy the river was above it's banks often along this river road!
Illinois is another state we'll need to come back to for a longer visit!!
