We've turned back across the Mississippi to Hampton, Illinois to spend the night at a delightful county-supported recreational facility. With our senior discount, we paid $16 for the pleasure of watching the river flow by our front door. The 'water is wide, I cannot cross over'...but we will take a bridge over the muddy waters tomorrow for our first stop at the Herbert Hoover presidential library.
We got up in the morning and were hooked up to wifi for the first time! While it was great to get connected, it was kind of cool being cut off from the world for a while:). We updated the blog, got our new phone working (my mom has the number should anyone need it) and got ready for the day.

... was to only travel 3-5 hours per day. We rolled into Warren Dunes Park at 4:30pm. We again set up camp, checked out the beach and went to get some pizza to bring back to enjoy on the dunes.
The dunes were spectacular! We all ran up to the top, Carson seemed to fly up them, whereas Tim and I got the workout of the day! Carson and Tim went for a quick refreshing dip and I waited on the shore with Xena Girl. Time for bed...

We began this week by celebrating our 100th day on the road. Monday Sept. 14 was our 100th day so I did a project to help show how many days that is like our First Graders (and the rest of the school) used to do when I was teaching! You'd think I’d be glad not to have to worry about projects anymore but that’s how it is being on the road for 100 days!
