    ... beach' area have been created in the centre. There is a stage on which bands play, cafe's and a beach volleyball pitch, in this area. In fact looking from the 72nd floor of the GM tower it surprises us both how green Detroit is...this is no concrete city and has only around a dozen high rise buildings. We’re looking at living in Ann Arbor a small city about 45minutes from Detroit that is also home to Michigan University. It has a great art scene and is an easy commute for Matt to work or the airport. We’re looking forward to having a car again so we can explore the surrounding areas more easily.     At Evergreen B & B we enjoyed a wonderful, yummy home-cooked breakfast cooked to order by our friendly host Olive. She made delicious oatmeal for me and Eve, eggs and bacon for Jim and fresh, warm croissants for Daniel. We also had fresh fruit salad, yogurts (yes, pear!!!) and toasts.
