... We fly into Chicago for a 2 hour layover before catching our connecting flight to Detroit Metro. Day 8: The Long Drive Home

At this point we split with the Lys since we wanted to get an earlier start and they wanted to sleep in. When we said goodbye, they were just starting to get up and eat some breakfast.

... made it to our cabin! We were so excited to walk in. The place was beautiful. The photos really don't do the place justice. Very nicely decorated with leather recliner couches and deeply cushioned lounge chairs on the deck. 5 bedrooms on 3 levels meant we had plenty of room to spread out. And they they were pet friendly and welcomed Dim Sum ($30 pet fee).Check out the video we made when we first entered the cabin.

... that much at all at the time. Conversation was much more attractive and there was too much noise inside.

We left there about 3:15pm. Again I had met a whole bunch of brothers and sisters, Douglas and his wife, Linda, Kathleen, Charles, Sherry, Derrick and Jeanette, my memory fails me on many names. A great experience only spoiled by the lack of actual time in the field.
