... the rest of the drivable path was closed due to chances of avalanche (I thought it was summer??). Apparently they had been getting four to five feet of snow every week or so this past winter. Thanks to 16 hours of sleep and also to the strategic purchase of Bahrain souvenir soccer ball and camel at the airport gift shop, we breezed through the very low key Premier check in, immigration, and security. We didn't have too long to hang out at the Dilmun Lounge, but it was long enough for the kids to play with the toys in the family room and to grab some snacks.

... shuttle, the driver ignored me the whole way but spoke to the German couple nearby and basically did the exact route they wanted. Thought I'd got off in the right place but had to walk about half a mile to find the hotel.
