... before. Sadly though, I left without a great deal more insight into what had happened there, than I had known before from a general sense of history. And most importantly, why? Although, even an in-depth tour might not answer that questions. The little darlings just did not give us a chance to take it in. I feel like I've been denied something important. Today more so than ever as everyone is excited with the anticipation of Oktoberfest but there are a number of activities first. A small walking tour and a bike tour of Munich, which was definitely one of my favourite parts. The bike tour showed us some important buildings in german history and a beautiful park, that is larger than Central Park ...

... roast pork knuckle (schweinshaxe) and a litre of beer. The pork knuckle was massive. It took me a while to get through it all, but I prevailed. I needed to walk my dinner off so I kept walking through the gardens as far as the lake at the northern end. From there I cut back to the streets and walked all the way down Leopoldstr. It was a big street with lots of cafes and bars and the university is nearby. Back ...
