Although we had planned on 6 months we made it 113 days and Terry drove the motorhome 7,478 miles and 6,480 in the Jeep totaling 13,958.
We saw everything we wanted to see and were lucky to have good weather every where we went until we hit the south and got the rain and humidity.
Our next journey will continue next year....Stay tuned.
... have a beautiful home on the east side of Jacksonville in a little sub-division called Gately Oaks, which is not far from the beautiful Jax beaches. The homes there are relatively new and surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, giving the neighborhood a very cozy, established feel. We were celebrating until after 1:00 AM! I was completely happy. Nothing in the world could make me happier that night. I slept like a baby after all of the dancing and emotion! I am so thankful to everyone who made my buon voyage special. I just wish I could take all of "my people" with me to Italy- I will miss everyone dreadfully! Although I can't fully express that evening and everything that it meant to me, I think one word sums it up pretty well... BLESSED.
... breaks on the way. For some reason they decided we should dress as cops, so I ended up walking round St Augustine with 5 women, a fake moustache, sunglasses and baton! Make of that what you will, but it wasn't my most masculine of nights. Not only is this a relatively hard situation to explain to your girlfriend, but also like going on a night out with your embarrassing, old(er) sister.; but it was good fun though and St Augustine is a nice little town I'll try and visit ...
