    ... taxi with and I really wasn't keen on paying for it all myself. So I waited around for around 20mins and eventually saw this young Norwegian/Spanish couple and asked if I could share a taxi with them. The Norwegian guy explained they had a car but he would be happy for me to jump in and rather than catch the bus and ferry he would simply drive me all the way back to Stavanger. Not only did this save me $60 but also around 1-1.5hrs in transport time!

    Pulpit Rock and the Fjord

    ... dolphins and seals in the Fjord and the captain took the boat right up in to a crevice where there is a cave that some outlaws hid out in. The manouvering of the boat was very impressive, You could practically reach out and touch the cliff face either side. He repeated this trick under a waterfall to collect water to drink.

    ... Jerba. They were impressed. 'Mein Gott - it has a bed, it has a cooker, and it even has a fridge!') If this pass had been in Spain there would have been signs every 100m in altitude, the summit, which would have been called the 'Col de San somebody or other', would have had a restaurant and mirador with flags of all European nations waving in the wind.     My hosts had already mentioned there was a music festival happening in town for Saturday, but I assumed it was just a local thing with little interest. The fact that I saw a stage set up in one of the main squares on my way back from the Rock, and a band that sounded like Creed meets Nickelback playing didn't help ...
