We decided to use public transport to get to Baltimore airport. We walked a half mile to the metro, caught three different metro trains because they were doing work on the green line and then caught the metrolink direct bus to the airport. The kids were over it by the end but we saved money and enjoyed the different experience. This was our first Southwest flight and even though they don't do assigned seating it was fine.

We ...

Parkhill, Ontario, Canada brydebsimonUSA Day 8 Monday, September 07, 2009

Up at 8 and hit the road to the falls. We are driving along and you can see a mist I am not sure if it is fog or smoke or cloud. I see a sign mentioning some rapids and I pull over I didn't realize how close we were to the falls. These rapids fall 50 feet in about 800 yards and then it’s just straight over the edge. We park the car and walk to the falls.

Niagara consists of two falls the American falls on the US ...

London, Ontario, Canada nobertWe were running late coming into London due to the slow traffic on the 401, but it didn't matter because my younger brother, John, and his fiance, Sabine, were caught in it too, so no one had started to eat the turkey feast, and the spread of desserts my parents had laid out for us. My parents, my older brother, Noel, and his girlfriend warmly greeted us after we rang the doorbell. They hadn't changed as much as the city. I noticed heavy development ...
London, Ontario, Canada robsargeant... in the swirl. · Port Burwell - It hosts the oldest lighthouse on Lake Erie. This town is also a major stop for the Monarch butterfly because of the abundance of milkweed that the newly hatched butterfly's use as a food and a chemical defense against predators. They also have a small maritime museum. · Turkey Point - This town has probably the largest harbor along the shoreline. There were several tugs, larger boats and some barges. It turns into ...
London, Ontario, Canada jimcabay... a story about "a very brown girl and a very brown boy who were very awkward..." I ignored them, silently swearing to beat them both later. We both became very sleepy and I ended up with my head on his shoulder, half-napping/half-talking. It was very nice. Rachel ended up getting an awesome picture of a car beside us. The glare on the window made it look like it was flaming. It's The DeLorean! Gun it to 88!

All in all, it was a wonderful trip ...
Stratford, Ontario, Canada jaxpelliottI almost forgot to mention the car. It started driving from Montreal to Toronto. I was getting lots of stares. I thought they must be thinking I'm nuts for driving this tiny car in the snow/sleet/rain/wind and were perhaps ****** off that I was driving so slowing (55 mph - when the speed limit was between 45 - 65). Then in Toronto the weather clears but I'm getting the same stares. Paranoia sets in, "Am I driving badly?" After a bit, I start getting comments as I enter and exit the car ...
London, Ontario, Canada ecschultz... to tell my stories to you. Where I go around HK, at this point, is still conjecture. There are several places on the tip of my tongue, but why ruin the surprise? Regardless of which path I take, I'm sure I'll meet my fair share of adventures and misadventures that will hopefully make you chortle on your morning coffee. But wait, there's more. Because I don't plan on leaving until the 11th, I have a 5 week gap with nothing to ...
