    So what of Tokyo?

Tokyo had lots of surprises for us. It is soo clean. I stared out of the bus window for 30 minutes without seeing any litter, and when I did it turned out to be a leaf. What, they haven't trained their trees properly? The toilets are immaculate, the cars are shining, the buses look brand new. Amazing. They explain this as being part of their Shinto life, to keep things clean is to show respect to their spirits and to each other. The whole place is very westernised, with a Japanese ...

Today I took advantage of the open day at the imperial palace and had a quick look around. It wasn't anything that special compared to many of the other palaces and temples I'd seen in Kyoto however there were a few interesting, colourful panels. ... like the strap had broken from one of the Tyne's but then I saw the medical car race over. It seems Bianchi ran off the track at the same spot. Long, wet trip home now. I knew as soon as the red flag came out that they would call an end to it so I got a great head start on the masses. Very we'll organised event. So that's Japan's GP done, just 16 more to ...

Made it to the track and wandered about looking at the souvenir stands, same old stuff as you get at Melbourne. Redbull stand 4 deep in a queue, catherham: empty. First poor food experience since coming to japan.... I hope that's not because I'm fending for myself, as Amanda is back in Kyoto watching on the iPad, .... Doesn't bode well for the next two weeks when I'll be on my own. Just watched the drivers parade. And I have a perfect spot at the ...
