      Alarm set for 2.30am so it was early to bed. Woke up quite fresh and all ready for our holidays.       ... whoops! The quaich was a present from our Reverend and is kept in your family for your children’s baptisms as well as future generations at their wedding ceremonies. It truly was a special ending to a great ceremony!

      We started our week in Dornoch and it included more golf for Ron at Royal Dornoch (with Adrian Baggott); a distillery tour of Glenmorangie; more golf for Ron at Brora (with Liz); and a fairly long walk with Kara (oxfam trailwalk training)....she did two circuits of the walk between Golspie and Brora and back again.       After we spent some time in the castle, we hiked up too the Stonehaven War Memorial that wasn't far from the castle. It's a memorial that commemorates those from Stonehaven that died in the first and second world wars. The hill that it was located on also had an amazing view of the town.
