    ... covered it alot in his very interesting stories of his travels around France. He is a very clever fix it man and we have invited him over to NZ when ever he can make it some time.

    I'm still smacking my lips over that casserole, dying to have some tomorrow. You would love it mum!!

    ... bring it all home in the backpacks.

    At about six ,Joesine will have us rallying for dinner, we always have a salad made by one of us and she will usually make the main dish. Kevin made rice pudding one night which was a hit with some rhubarb confit. Later on we have more free time to go walking or play this French game with sticks otherwise we plan the rest of our time in France or drink wine and Cointreau ............

    ... wine made from. We explored all the towers and slotted windows where maybe arrows were fired from. It had an enormous moat which made you wonder how any army could have breached its walls.

    Later that night , after a little research, we went to an interesting restaurant called Grandgousier. Those French, takes us a while to work them out not to mention the menu! Very difficult to figure it all out! Eventually ...

    ... Within the castle perimeter are two central courtyards, one of which contains the chapel, and attractively planted, and the palaces of the Dukes of Anjou.
    Nowadays the castle is equally well known for its very important and priceless collection of medieval tapestries, held in the Governors Lodge, including of course the original Apocalypse Tapestry.
    The moat around Chateau Angers no longer contains water, but has been planted with attractive French style ...
