      Saumur - last stay before Paris

      ... first day of rain, (probably since Edinburgh!), so we only had short walk in town before back to the hotel to read and for me to write this travel blog.
      Tomorrow we take the big highways and some toll roads towards Paris. First to Orly Airport to drop the car off, then into the heart of Paris to the apartment which will our home for a few days.

      ... the motorway. But the campsite was easy to find and reception was still open. Most receptions open limited hours and out of season, even shorter hours with lunch breaks from 12 till 2.30.       ... A bit of a driving day a about 230 km . Dinan a small town on the way , with excellent ramparts, provided an early break from driving , old half timbered houses and a picturesque port made for a pleasant 90 minute stop . Angers , our first stop in the Loire valley , had a chateau with really excellent ramparts 17 towers and a quite acceptable audio guide read by the bloke who does the myth busters voice over. Jean-Yves and Nicole have spent many years restoring and maintaining the premises.
