What a difference a day makes. Went to bed at 65 degrees in Savannah, and woke up to drizzle and 41 degrees. There is a major winter storm warning in effect. We cannot get north of Interstate 20 because of snow and ice. So we went west to Macon, Georgia, then continued west along old country roads. It was awesome. Hardly any traffic and beautiful scenery and old homes. Outside of Macon, we took a detour and went to McIntyre, Ga. We stopped in front of Honey Boo Boo's house! Definitely ...

... across the line in Georgia) -- huge rectangular blocks of smooth grey metal stretching out across the fields -- no smoke, no open yards, no mess. It looked like a phone company building. They sold 350,000 of the KIA cars in the US last year, and demand is increasing -- so it looks like this region will get some good jobs and a shot in the arm.
