Similarly to naming Qingdao both the Switzerland and Riviera of China Suzhou is named the Venice of China. I think Suzhou deserves it's title a little more than Qingdao though. I have been in my centre in Suzhou working this week, and realised that it was half term in the UK. I contacted Rachel and they were arriving in Suzhou on Wednesday. I booked into the same hotel, the JinJiang near the Amusement Park. I had arrived back from Matt's centre in the early afternoon and was just going out to get something to eat at Emerald City when I heard voices. As I walked into the foyer there were the Bath ...

... out, cooking, relaxing, etc. We finally finished with the Garden of the Master of the Nets. Another of the famous gardens of Suzhou. A number of interesting buildings surrounding a large pond. The names given to the buildings in various places are interesting - the Beauty Within Reach Tower, The Five Peaks Library (named after the rock formation displayed near it), The Moon Comes With The Breeze Pavilion and so on. Some of them are obvious to us, others need a LONG explanation. ...
