    ... a bus to the airport. Lots of sweat today. Of course the trip would not have been complete if I didn't end up having to chase down a bus, so I did that in order to get from the city to the airport. Gotta keep things interesting and spontaneous when traveling right?!? Always that was my active weekend.     ... 30pm (dusk) and is told through the eyes of an old man of time/memories taking you from the 1700's war in the Vendee through to WW2. We are not going to try and explain this incredible experience but all we can say is that we saw it, we heard it, we smelt it and we felt it.     ... the window opens as there is no air conditioning despite being just two years old. It is a modern hotel which would fit in any city anywhere in the world. We feel it has been built to cater for those visiting Puy du Fou and are unable to stay on site.

    ... trucks were having a break. Only one toll ticket for 3.5 hours and as we got near Nantes we came off to go to the lovely town of Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu we had to pay €51.50 for our days work.

    ... dedicated to creating large mechanical animals as a way to increase tourism. Prior to seeing the elephant we had a tour of the artist workshops, seeing a large ant, a bird and Venus fly trap. These animals seemed to scare and fascinate both Emily and Rose in equal measure, but the moving ant upset them both and we had to make a quick exit.
