... We were now over queues and walked back to our apartment , narrowly avoiding being skittled by an Audi running a red light , quite a close call. Falafel from the joint down the street a cuppa, and off to another church .

Sacre Coeure on top of Montmartre , in the absence of pre reading fooled us completely , it looks almost Byzantine in its appearance , domes , mosaics etc. but was built in 1876 , oops!

Paris's only brick church was nearby , ...

... 9 months to see it all! Yes we did see the Mona Lisa. Lots of people pushing around in front of her. Even saw a young lady take a selfie! Then we decided to walk to Musee de Orsay which wasn't that far away as Octavia had recommended it as her favourite museum yesterday. Got tickets very easily then looked around for about 2 hours. Saw lots of paintings from artists that had only ever seen in books or heard about in art class. Monet, Van Gogh, Rodin, Cezanne, Toulouse Latrec, ...

... de Charonne and stopped in at a beer shop, which was actually two shops (side by side) in one. Even after Brad explained to the shop employee that he only spoke a bit of French, the employee chattered on in French as though Brad shoukd understand. Luckily Brad understood enough to make some purchases. We also stopped in at a butcher and purchased a rotesserie chicken, although we were impressed by the selection and cuts of meat available.
