... Paradise" plastered all over the sides of the vehicle (this surely cant be ours). The driver pulls back the door and to our astonishment it was a fully loaded, plush party bus. (maybe this is going to be better than we first thought). We get to the hostel in style and that's where the style ends I’m afraid. This place was a disaster, rude and unhelpful staff that just looked like they didn’t really want to be there, kissing their teeth at any opportunity ...

I got to the beach and immediately noticed how the Pacific smelled. Damian was lapping up the v8 noise as we made our way to our hotel along the four lane freeway. The hotel is comfortable ...

... looked really pretty with the sun setting out over the water. The really cool thing about this beach was that it had fire pits all over the place so you could come and hang out in the evenings and have a fire on the beach. It was monitored and only open for a certain period of time. Looked fun.

That was pretty much the end of our tour. Its amazing how tiring it can be sitting in a bus all day! The kids and I may have had a little nap on the way back to our ...

Day 9 - Last Day in Los Angeles

Tomorrow we leave behind the 38 - 40 degrees heat of Los Angeles and head to the milder climate of San Francisco, via an overnight stay in Monterey. I have really enjoyed LA - it is such a vast city of diversity. It is really hard to get a good sense of its size and see it all in such a short time, however, I think we did a very good job of sampling some of the main attractions! Yesterday we spent the day out and about and visited places such as Venice Beach, Santa ...
