... leads to the lake and a 30 metre long pebbled 'beach' with spectacular views of the town, lake and mountains. Back in town we go to the bakery to get some lunch. There were no meat pies at all but we got some panchetto, local soft cheese, fresh bread and a few pastries. This lunch looking out onto the lake and mountains was worth a million dollars. A beautiful 90 minute trip down the East side of the lake sees us back in Milan for a meal the girls have concocted. Before ...

      What A Night!

A travel blog entry by travellinghutch on Nov 05, 2014

Now where are all my party people?! In the city of Milan, Italy, the night does not begin
until about 1 am. Back in Canada if someone is awake later than
midnight, it is likely they are either in bed watching a movie with a
bag of chips or bowl of ice cream (all you ladies, you know what i am
talking about. We have alllll been there so please save the trouble
of denying it!), or selling drugs in dark ...

I even got to see 'The Last Supper' by Leonardo Da Vinci. This was an amazing surprise from Cristina as it's usually a few months waiting list to get in. They only ...

... and a lot of buildings were modern and flash looking. We did not see anyone wandering around wearing the high fashion for which Milano is famous.
We then headed to a local restaurant the hotel receptionist had suggested. Simon had a very tasty Tagliatelle with a Meat sauce and Susan a seafood salad. The restaurant certainly squeezed people in. When we got up to leave the man at the neighbouring table had to move so Simon ...

... to piazza del Duomo and started to walk towards the one other place i was interested in going in Milan, the Castello Sforcesco, Milan's castle. Walking from Duomo to Castello Sforcesco you walk along a cool little boulevard full of little café's and shops, then after a little while you come to a road crossing and across the road you see a massive fountain and behind it the front of the castle. The castle front ...
