The promised 6 hour drive took 9hours but omg it was so worth it! We stopped for one night at Lake Havasu on the Colorado River between San Deigo and the Grand Canyon. It was so beautiful! We stopped on the way to check out the views of Mount Rosa and we also stopped for a picnic so the drive was broken up a bit it wasn't to bad! Desert Driving
... My eyes were so overwhelmed by the beauty that it was getting hard to drive!!!
Tomorrow we will meander across Arizona towards New Mexico. Hopefully by the time we reach Texas they will have cleared the roads so we can continue on towards Virginia! I'm looking forward to more desert and closing the gap between us and the East Coast. Hopefully we don't hit too much snow!
