... kicked in and after the limited assessment I could realized that we needed to call an ambulance. After the ambulance came and got this person on their way to the hospital I decided it was time to call it a night. The irony of the entire situation is how only a few days earlier I had been talking with a friend about how I missed working as an EMT and being actively being able to administer treatments and such. ... but looking back to when I just started a mere nine weeks ago I have noticed a considerable change. Gone are the days of questioning if I made the right decision in choosing to go to medical school in Sweden, as are most of the doubts I have of if I will be able to be successful here. It feels strange to say that I've changed in such a short period of time but the reality is that I have. It also makes me realize how much change lays ahead of me and I can't wait to see where it takes ...

... all the different steps I was having fun going through the steps as well and thinking through what I would be looking for, treatment, expected response, etc. It was fun to compare what I would do compared to what they did. The best part was that not only was it fun, but I learned a lot and got paid for doing it! Next time the opportunity comes around again to participate I am definitely going to try and be a part of it ...

... but it was seriously pricey, so we settled for a day cruise instead. It was terrific going through the 5 locks to descend into the lake from the river, dropping 15 metres. We cruised around Boren Lake, then returned via the canals, going up. It's a great piece on construction, considering it was made in 1810-1833. Originally it was intended as a trail of retreat to the middle of the country, burning the locks as they went. Later on, it became a way of transporting goods on ...
