We left Pacific Isle at 2:16 and headed north on I-5. It took us over an hour to get to Camp Pendleton--lots of traffic! No worry ---we're on vacation! Traffic was heavy all the way through LA and the Valley. We are in Le Beck this evening---past Gorman, almost over the Grapevine. We had dinner at Dennys and are staying in a Motel 6.

... around there for a while, the trolley took us over to Coronado Island. Formally an island, it is now actually a peninsula joined by a narrow strip of land to the coast of San Diego. We crossed the impressive Coronado Bridge and got the most amazing views of the San Diego sky line and shore line. Coronado is a beautiful little utopia.
