The Barge was not to be!
... able to have a good look around. Dean was in seventh heaven and, surprise, surprise, his favourite part was the dungeon. It WAS a beautiful castle and we really got a feel for life in the day, even though there were no furnishings. The structure of the castle has been well preserved and it would be our favourite so far (and we have a few to choose from!).

Slow journey home
... they wouldn’t admit Keith anyway as he was wearing shorts. We weren’t too disappointed. The tourist count in Bangkok seemed to have increased hugely over the last few years. The heat and the sheer number of people milling around were starting to become oppressive and so we decided to retrace our steps. By the time we arrived back in Sukhumvit somewhat hot and bothered we just had to flop in a café for another cold beer.
