Whilst he is ensconced in the store trying to rectify his server problem, I go in search of coffee. ... location, as it took us through the heart of the campus.

The Stanford campus was as quiet as a library in the sun. "Where is the life?" I kept asking myself. Grant and I stopped at The Cafe in the alumni center. He ordered a grilled cheese and a Pepsi. I had a small latte. Grant's grilled cheese came with tomato and avocado, so he had to slice those off. My latte came with a bad taste. We looked up the college calendar to see if it was spring break ...
