    ... was pleasantly surprised and relieved we took a flatter, calmer road. After crossing the Gate we drove into the Presidio, an old military fort turned project in urban planning. It is administered by the NPS so most of it is a park. Since real estate is limited in San Francisco, some of the century-old military buildings have been turned into health clubs, shops, even condos (at least on their insides.)     Anything green was where there were landscaping programs and lawns.

    Got some interesting fog photos later coming back to the city. And the car temp showed from 80F leaving Palo Alto to well over a 20 degree F drop heading into SF. BRRR. It was amazing how that thermostat kept on dropping as we drove...

    Some neat Market Street photos too.
