It was raining in Fort Nelson when with left this morning, but before we left, Les noticed that 2 of our tires where looking pretty bad from bouncing so much and driving over rocks. So we found a tire store (I guess you could call it a store) The parking lot was mud and full of pot holes and so were all the other parking lots of the other businesses there. All the mud was then carried onto the road so our ...
Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada schroederdToday was the 4th day in a row with quite a bit of riding, and our muscles are letting us know that. However, we had perfect weather today, hot, but not too hot, and sunny and great. We rode from Fort Nelson, BC to Grande Prairie, AB. Shortly into the ride Brad saw a moose just hanging out in the grass at the side of the road having some eats. We were so close! He checked us out ...

Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada knt... We met the new farm dog, six week old cutie Toby, and triplet calves (a first for the Cassity farm).

We also got Calvin's car road ready after a year of sitting idle for the long drive back to Calgary.

Stay tuned for some trip highlights and other ponderings.
Beaverlodge, Alberta, Canada calvin.latha... I could kick myself for not doing the 'Alberta only’ rental car option. Then I could drive all over Jasper and Banff national parks, maybe even go down to Calgary or up to Fort McMurray. Gas is $4/gallon, but the car doesn’t drink much. As it is I’ll be lucky to get back to Edmonton within the limit, but if I’m looking good at Hinton, maybe I’ll do a back-and-forth to Jasper.
Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada hardiekThis is my first entry and may seem bland at first but I assure you TIGERS are invloved so read on dear reader. I have prepared all necessary gear, uh necessary to begin the South Pacific Historical, Geological, Anthropological and Otherwise Informational Survey by a Canadian Adventure-ologist...tician. Which for simplicity and clarity will now be refered to as the Grand South Pacific Historical, Geological, Anthropological and Otherwise ...
Spirit River, Alberta, Canada gunslinger22For the first time on this trip my level of frustration with my partner is high. I think it is a combination of annoyances that I have let get to me. On their own, manageable, but all today-- too much. First of all, at work she gets top priority on the computer because she is working on the website. We each take 30mins of personal time to check email, then we are suppose to get to work. Today she spent over two hours reading Ukrainian ...
Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada aszliross... the donations. Grande Prairie is the northern cluster point for the homeless, and we heard a lot about the strength of this particular community towards their less fortunate, but there is still a fairly large percentage of people requiring assisstance. "After lunch we all took on various tasks, I folded laundry, helped in the kitchen, then helped sort their toy donation room. I worked hard ...

Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada aszliross... tough to make split decisions to sacrifice money now, or values later. You didn't want to run out of money early, or miss more critical 'values.' All in all, it was a very interesting excersize. I wish I had written down the values that we had argued over, and what we won in the end, it would be that much more interesting of a study... Oh well, maybe others can try the same excersize and see for themselves. "The ...
