... a warm evening so we walked over to Grant Park opposite the hotel. It is lovely green space with fountains, walkways and places to sit. Also it is very close to the edge of the lake just 6 lanes of highway to cross first!!. There was a lot of work going as they are preparing for a big annual music festival called Loolapazoola next week end which has up to 8 stages within the park and features many well known acts such ...

We get up, take a shower and arrive at our brunch destination by 9:30am. We are at Café Petite Chou in Broadripple, ...

... driving so we parked the car up and headed back into central Chicago via the train to do some more sight seeing. We headed straight over to Cloud Gate in Millenium Park which is amazing. The pictures make it look impressive but to actually see it, is stunning, seriously make sure you check it out if you go to Chicago.

We then headed up the road to the Navy Pier. A lovely attraction but it appears that its still being developed. We had a walk along it ...

    Chicago, IL: Day 4

... they were so wrong. Another beautiful and sunny morning in Chicago! To be honest, Millennium Park and Grant Park are rather similar - I mean, two parks right next to each other - a park is a park right? But I love them both all the same and strolling through them has been really pleasant. So I thought - despite all the reading I've done which suggests avoiding Lincoln Park in winter time, I can't come to Chicago and not see one of the largest (3rd I think?) parks in ...
