... one of the worlds tallest residential towers. The view was spectacular, as far as the eyes could see of white sand and the nearby high rise buildings combined with the winding rivers of Surfers Paradise. We saw the view by day and night after watching the sunset. We were struck by the lack of things to do and we were happy we only planned a 2 night stay. Next stop Brisbane.

... winter in the outback...it was supposed to be about 10... and even the skitter of rain didn't deter us too much.

Night descended and we prepared dinner ... switching on my new 5 metre strip of LED lights saw the surrounding campground light up like a Xmas tree... and the insect life don't seem to be so attracted to them... another bonus!!

... the bustling, upbeat atmosphere. We woke up Sunday and the weather was good (not raining) so we hit the beach and I went surfing in the afternoon. That evening we went to a place called Melbas for $6.50 steak, salad and fries combo dinners, and met up with some friends from our March Break trip. ... That lasted about three hours but passed really quickly.

In the evening Lynne and Duncan were off to choir practice which left me time to try out some of the piano music.



Two pianos to choose from. I should have tried out the upright piano once no-one was around to be annoyed by my mistakes.
