A travel blog entry by 2pcgrads on Oct 13, 2014

We had a brief visit to see our daughter and her husband in Austin, TX. They moved here just a few months ago and seem to be well settled in. We did go to an Octoberfest dinner at a small German town called Walberg, just north of Georgetown where the beer and bratwurst flowed freely. It was a fun evening. We enjoyed our ...

If you live in the south, you never get snow, you don't even expect it! When the rare time comes around that you ACTUALLY get snow, all hell breaks loose! So after recuperating from major jet lag and procrastinating, I'm ready to share the "storm." ...

After packing up, we walked across the street to walk over the Waco Suspension Bridge which, when it was built in 1870, was the longest suspension bridge west of the Mississippi. It spans the Brazos River. After our short walk, we loaded into the car and headed south, stopping along the way at a Schlotzky's drive-thru which also had Cinnabon minis. The ...

... places. Then Bill walked in one day and said "How about Slovenia?" I had no idea where it was or why we would want to go there, but after doing some internet research, I was ready to make reservations. Slovenia is part of the old Yugoslavia and became an independent state in 1991. It is a very small country, so small you can drive around it in a day. Slovenia has 30 miles of seacoast, caves, castles, and ...
