    Tasting unpasteurised beer made using traditional methods was Brendans highlight (drinking my share made it all the more worthwhile) My highlight was dinner.. steak, beans, wedges and grilled vegetables!

    ... so we all headed into the brewery for the tour.
    The tour stated off with a beer! An excellent way to start a tour. It was called Champ, one of their lower alcohol percentage beers. This tour would be in the Germany language only so Manu will translate as best she can. We watched a short video on the history of the brewery while finishing our beers.     ... us want to pack up the cases and un pack. Took off at 9 for Salzberg. It was 3 1/2hours to get there then 4 back. We were hungry and tired although had a couple of Nana naps on the way. Passed the little town in Austria called Pentling where Pope Benedict was born. (Bit of trivia for you) . One town we passed thru the bus had to go thru these big thick arches that were actually Medieval gates hundreds of years ...

    ... streets and colourful arches, loads of colour everywhere and a huge festival being set up that we cycled around and ogled at how big it was. The town is also surrounded on all sides by canals so it looks like an island on the map.
