The book "Faith and Victory in Dachau" written by a Rev Overduin, makes brief mention of my uncle Hein, but is mostly about the author's experiences in the camp. We have it on our bookshelf, and I will reread it once I get home.

"Things We Couldn't Say" is a book discovered by our family more recently, and it is about Hein Sietsma and his wartime fiancee, Diet Eman, who is the author.

... the cityscape traditional houses can only have 2 colours of tiles and must be built to traditional shapes. We then drove through Schöffau, Böbing and into Rottenbuch for our first stop to see the Rottenbuch Abbey and grab a coffee & snack. The Abbey is stunning. ... check-in area, where I sat down to decide where to check my suitcase. Mom and I had several options for getting to Tel Aviv, Israel, our stopover point en route to Cyprus. We could fly United up to EWR and then over to TLV – but the BusinessFirst cabins of both EWR-TLV flights are booked full today, so that is a poor option.
