... and Cortney somehow ended up with a bunch of random things including a Kinder egg complete with a little toy inside. Very strange. We played eye spy all the way back to the hostel and then it was time for a nap. We were such tired crazy people after beeping up on the bus all night. Erika and I went out later to find dinner and ended up having to create a picnic from the grocery store (every single restaurant was closed by 8). We were sitting on a bench in ...

Willkommen from Deutschland! After a long series of flights, basic required tasks and getting my bearings I finally found myself on a train hugging the Rhine river heading north to Dusseldorf. While I am basically heading the opposite direction of the rest of my destinations I wanted to see my friends Tory & Carlos and meet their two children. You may remember Tory from this blog before, as I met her in Vietnam as she was traveling around the world. I also saw her again ...

... of the city. Up here in the tower, we sat down and had a drink. I had an Alt beer which was a dark beer, and Maggie had a hot chocolate.

Once we were finished viewing the city, we headed to old town. From here we viewed a church and lots of cool buildings. We went to two brew houses where we sampled the local beer. It was good. Lots of flavour. We had lunch at on of these. I was pretty full still so I had a potato soup ...
