... must see Sweden especially Malmo. It is on the tip of the country and is only a short train trip from Denmark since there is a bridge that links to the two cities. It is a vibrant and multicultural place, influenced by Copenhagen across the Öresund (the jaw dropping bridge which links the two). Malmö also seems to attract one-off works of architecture and design: the Turning Torso, created by Santiago Calatrava. There is of course the Castle to see ...

Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark nomadicnikki... in a jar-thing, hot, topped with cream (uuugh) and sprinkled with toasted rye bread. I also had a hot chocolate. It was all mighty delicious. We wandered much of the centre, through the shopping streets, saw the queens palace and the changing of the guard, wandered along the waterfront, past the Kastel, and then out to the main attraction of Copenhagen, the statue of Haans Christian Andersons Little Mermaid. By the time we got back to the apartment it ...
Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark lovin_apples... do anything, so we headed back to the ship. On our way there, we came across a Pedi-Cab (Kind of like a bicycle rickshaw). Neither of us have ever done that before so we figured "We're on vacation, why not". Very fun way to travel, as he took us down sidewalks instead of main streets so we got to see a lot more of the city. Anyway, back on ship. Way tired and going to bed. JEFF'S REVIEW Today - we visited Copenhagen. We got in around 9AM - and didn't get off ...
Copenhagen, Denmark simru12... buffet called RizRaz. Walking along the beautiful streets, we came to another section of water where we took a canal boat tour for about an hour seeing pretty much all of the sights, including The Little Mermaid, a statue of the Bishop Abselon who founded the city, the spiral looking church steeple, Christiansburg (spelling?), all sorts of short bridges and neat houses, and the government buildings. After the tour, we went to ...
Copenhagen, Denmark anniemac7... think nothing of leaving there infants in strollers outside stores while they go in and get a coffee. This is right downtown too. You'll walk by a cafe and there will be a couple bikes and maybe three or four strollers with babies peering out of them. Very strange! 2. Bikes rule all! Everyone rides bikes everywhere. you'll see girls all dressed up for a night out riding along. And if you get hit by a bike in Denmark it ...
Helsingborg, Sweden shieldsy14... Ok. Think I've got it now though. Arrived in Lund ready to just hit the ground and not move for days. But no, had a rucksack to carry around which is always fun when you're sick. Met up with Jiveen and the canadian couple Ariel-Ann and Adam who's place we'd be staying at. Had another hot chocolate - a swedish one this time though - before trekking it off to their place. Jiveen was nice enough to carry my rucksack for me, otherwise I might have taken a couple ...
Copenhagen, Denmark oliviar22... after that felt like it was in a basement. A few other normal parties where we go to their corridors, as mentioned above. This past weekend we went to Malmo which is the 3rd largest city in Sweden (gasp in awe) and just a few minutes away. One of our mentors recently moved there so we went to her apartment and then a local club. It was a nice change of pace because at nations it feels like you are being pushed ...
Lund, Sweden evanabroad... a siesta together. Around supper we walked back to the bus and went downtown again. We decided to go to Rosie McGees for supper, and enjoyed some Mexican food. Then just after 9:30 we went to Tivoli. Rhian owed Tom some money so he paid for his admission into the grounds. I joked that he was paying for his date to get in, and got a priceless photo of Tom and Rhian holding hands (it still cracks me up!) Inside Tivoli we wandered around and then ...
