Got here yesterday and had room service dinner and early to bed! Its light here until after 10pm and then sun up again at 5am! Great hotel right across the street from Tivoli Gardens. Very Danish furniture. Chip arrived earlier than expected as he had to switch flights in DC as the UA flight was delayed and he would have missed his connection so he was able to get on a Lufthansa flight which got him here at 9am! We left him at the hotel to sleep and Katie and ...

I will say though I didn't end up melting, but was herded into a packed-to-the-rim city bus. So many smells. For the most part I am thankful for that sense ...

... to stop walking just to allow myself to take it all in, the realization that this is, very truly, almost over.

One of the airline stewardesses was wearing tight leather gloves, the purpose for which I couldn't quite figure out. I liked to believe that they were for dragging irritating passengers into a dark cubby hole and slapping them around a bit, but that theory went out of the window when she produced a big wide grin and upgraded the two fat people sitting next to me ...

Friday 2nd August

... as fast as he could and we're watching the clock. We pull up with minutes th spare, race in and buy tickets and think we're safe Neil we learn the train comes in on the other platform. Oh no Run!! And operating on two hours sleep in the past 24 and carrying 35 kilos of luggage and two bottles of duty free we stagger up the platform which just happens to be the very longest platform in Victoria! Over the top and ...
