... and they pretty much kicked him off, the jobsworth facist women-haters. We were quite depressed with ourselves considering we then had to pay out another £76 to get down to London, but I guess if this is the worst of our travel cock-ups for a seventh moneht world trip I guess we should 'quit the *****in....'
Bangor, Wales, United Kingdom thegaddabouts... tradidionally given by the man to his lady friend as a sign of love and devotion.
Tonight we're staying in Bala - a lakeside town, known for it's watersports and prehistoric fish that inhabit the lake! Dinner was at a pub (for something new!) and we enjoyed Steak and Brains stout pies - Brains is a beer brewed in Cardiff that Josh is enjoying - he is also getting into the Magners and Bulmers ciders!

... the top without any trouble. After that, Nick took them off to Llyn Ogwen just down the hill, to walk the dog for a bit, while I went up Chimney Crack with Eartha.
There were a lot of people on the rock and I think Jan was getting a bit fed up with waiting for the easy climbs. He wanted to pack up and go after that. My heart sank. If you have four kids, you can't take three climbing and then tell the fourth she has to wait until next time. It would have been ...
I don't know why we'd decided to climb Snowdon. It all came about quite quickly, and suddenly one day later there we were, waiting for a bus at the bottom to take us up to the start of the Pyg Track, a supposedly "moderately difficult" route ...
Snowdonia National Park, Wales, United Kingdom sianeth... I have enclosed some photo's. This trip took us over the Pontcyscllte Aqueduct which is about 200 feet above ground. Following the trip I walked back over the aqueduct and took these photo’s. No way would Glenn come with me as he is not fond of heights. At a little shop on the other side of the canal I found a small recipe book to bring home of English cakes and scones. Today was a long ...

... parading through the city and I quickly snapped this shot. I thought the parade was for us, however Gordon promptly indicated to me that it was for the town. Too bad!
Following our visit to Chester we made good time on the freeway to Conwy, Wales. This has a large castle as you enter town and you can walk all the streets in about an hours time which I proceeded to do. Glenn and Gordon set about finding photo ...
Group of 25 headed up Snowdon in celebration of Andy Duggards retirment.
Brilliant time was had by all, probably the best retirement I have been on (obviously sponsored by Carlsburg)
Congratulations Andy.
Proved to be a good last workout before we go - calves are feeling the effect though.
Well done to those that completed this mountain for the first time - Scafell next!
... not so memorable. After the hearty lunch we travelled a wee bit more to Llanddewi Brefi. Fans of Little Britain will understand the significance of this town, as it is Daffyd's village. More photos of the sign outside town along with the confused stares from the locals capped off our trip south. We proceeded to head back to London, pretty much travelling the entirety of the M4 back to central London. Back to home, and yet again another country to tick off the list.
Betws-y-Coed, Wales, United Kingdom davechowie... our campsite we all had a very welcome warm shower, costing us 50p for a 7 minute shower - well worth the money. After a few drinks in our swamplike campsite we all settled in for another night's rest. This time we went to sleep with a quiet breeze, to awaken to gales of wind. 25 August 2008 - Monday We packed up our tents in the howling winds by keeping them secured with pegs until the last minute before rolling them up and packing them away ...
