Thanks again guys.

They were cooking up some bread for us to eat, but frankly it looked rather gross, still wet in the middle, like eating glue. So we held out for the sweets, some cashews cooked up in honey. Very very nice.

Then we headed to the oil museum. Herdis' friend had suggested I visit it. It was quite expensive and a bit disappointing I thought. I suppose there would have been more info if ...
Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway lingo83Another couple mad train rides from Bergen to Oslo and then over to Stavanger took us to small oil town, from where we would make our way to the beautiful lyseford. The fjord is quite deep, and we came to take the hike up to the Preikestolen, high above the fjord. The hike was great, and though we were soaked by rain upon arriving in Stavanger, it wasn't too bad during the 2 hour trek up.
Stavanger, Western Fjords, Norway fiseb... All in all not a bad start for my journey. I probably will do one more hike today and then go to Stavanger in the early afternoon. I plan to spend a day there to explore the city, then to Denmark via Oslo. I have posted a few photos in a new album in my Facebook page, and I will keep adding new ones into it in the future. So you may want to check it out from time to time and here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2 4104&id=1042568774&l=ca29351727

Stavanger, Norway evasolo... it) - Chris had taken to hammering on the professor's bunk with his feet but to no avail. This was no man. In the morning, slightly shell-shocked, we stumbled to the bus stop intending to take a trip down the mountain to town. No sooner had we arrived than a local Norwegian girl (whose name sadly I did not catch during the chaos that was to ensue) appeared and told us that the bus had just left and that it would be quicker to follow her to another stop a little further ...

Even the towers and bridges have Christmas lights on them. I guess it doesn't seem like Christmas to me yet because a big part Christmas is tradition, and since I am in Norway I am not exposed to many of the things that remind me of ...
Stavanger, Norway klh1... and went underneath the towering Pulpit rock. Along the way, we saw many fish farms dotting along the shore line. Sitting on the deck was very chilly and we should have bought our gloves. Amanda didn't do a good job here to advice us on what we should be wearing. When we reached Pulpit rock from the bottom, it was a disappointment. The only interesting part of the tour was that the ship moved close to a waterfall to harvest the water and we had a drink ...
