Well today we are off to Rome we make sure we are on time today and meet our driver "Fred" I get this name right so we are good to go. As the shop docks at Civatvecchia it takes about 1 hour to drive to Rome. The traffic today is really bad so this takes us about 1 and 1/2 hours. We arrive at the city of Rome and Fred lets us know all about some of the things we see as we are driving around. I thought the traffic and crazy driving ...
... which you can't get from these guys. So that "Prada" bag won't end up being so cheap after all! The next day Erica and I went to another country, Vatican City, while Sarah went off and did her own thing. Our first stop was the Vatican Museum. We had been told we would have to get there super early to avoid long queues, but we didn't and we managed to pretty much walk straight in! The museum was amazing and the walls and roof of the building were painted with some really ...
... blew me away.............. We then trundled off to the Basilica....oh my how impressive is the Pope's local church....... We now have Rome's weather sorted....storm again this afternoon ....so we took a vote Taxi back to our hotel ,Gelato by the Trevi Fountain and a hop skip and a jump to our hotel just as the drops of rain started......we will head out again when the weather clears later this evening Now I should mention our quest to taste every gelato ...
... outside and have the sun finally kiss our Lilly White Canadian skin.
Traffic is insane we just cross with locals - those Vespas will kill ya - literally if your not careful. Also Taylor is a great navigator - Liz is a great follower, like Spaghetti and Meatballs one would say were a perfect pair for travel.
Tomorrow were off to the Vatican City!
