... islan to see the salt lakes. We rode around the large lake and it was very beautiful- so peaceful and the water was sparling aqua. We hadn't done a long ridefor a while, so enjoyed getting around on peddle power. Had a couple of lovely swims and a good lunch.

... soon realised would take a life time, so we tried to get back on to the main road towards Dubrovnik. I think it took just as long as the road connecting the coastal and main road was mountainous and long! It was scenic though. Camping places were harder to find nearer to Dubrovnik, but we found one, which was basic but by a nice little bay. Dubrovnik tomorrow...

Now outside the walls you can use euros but inside you still have to use the Croatian currency which is the kuna. So first stop was to the exchange shop located just outside the wall but this also had the added bonus of allowing us to buy our cable car tickets so that was one less queue we had to do. The exchange rate was good and you got 7.4 kuna for one euro so exchanging sixty euros we looked rich for about five minutes but then ...
