... 4 of us, the others eating plain spaghetti made Michelin star with butter and herbs. Naomi branded her tea as poor-average pretty much reflecting everyone's opinion. Katie and Emma have gone to watch some of the music concert and have a last look at the lake. I can't wait to have a shower and then I have to pack up all my stuff which is really tidy as you can imagine. Got to be ready for tomorrow morning's train to Venice which we are excited for. Our last country ...

I'm not sure why I'm doing those mileage figures other than as a rough guide to the distance it's going to be from Wales to Split (and probably back again). It's certainly not an accurate overall record of the distance we drive. For example, we did over 100 today, simply driving around northern Slovenia.

I did a whole lot of research yesterday which counted for nothing today as we completely changed our plans. I was going to take Kerry to some ice caves and the pretty town of Helstatt but it meant a bit of back tracking and we decided to push on towards Croatia. Because I refused to drive on the motorways so we could see more of Austria it took us from 10.15 till 5.15 pm to get to our destination. There was ...

... aspect when we jump, otherwise we are fairly likely to smash into the rocks at the bottom, if not there are also plenty of rocks at the side too. We spent about 3 hours making our way down the river. Vying not to be the last one to jump/slide/abseil so you could see everyone's faces as they threw themselves into the unknown or maybe so not everyone would be watching you. It's been a constant competition today for a mention on the blog. My fav ...

Splashed out on a taxi this morning to the train station (actually cheaper than the tram). Got a taxi partly because Emma was too scared of the tram after a close call yesterday where she almost got trapped alone on the tram. Picture her running up the tram banging on the windows, shouting 'can you stop please' with a tram-full of amused locals and us outside laughing more than we were trying to help. It was great because it meant we could get up an ...
