Bussing across the country to Berovo was interesting. ... Through Kardzgali and the Turkish provence of Smolvan and we saw redstarts, wheatears and a nutcatcher. Much larger that the English sub species. Then came the raptors - first kestrels and falcons and then the griffin vulture. Lots of photos of thistles, butterflies and a whip snake as well before heading to the vulture centre for dinner and bed.
