    Now where I'm staying is actually north of Brisbane. A quaint little community called Sandgate wedged between the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. At low tide you can walk out about across the mudflats.     ... a walk along the river to the Eagle St Pier, which is a huge precinct right on the river full of bars and restaurants.
