September, 19 All the lodging reservations are made (except Laughlin), and packing is mostly completed. Tomorrow morning I'll pack up a smalll cooler and we'll be ready to head out. We're looking forward to a new adventure. Hopefully to bed early and I'll get a good night ...
I was getting my hair done at Shear Perfection / Hair Port, when Rosemary strolled in to get her hair done. As we finished up, in walked Marti, ready to do her great work there, and it turned out her first customer was Gayle! What a small world, and what a great level of excitement! Thought we'd document this with a picture.
... br> 1. PILLOWS/MY BED. We got one pillow on our twin bed and it was not very comfy or big or comfy. Most nights I had to fluff it all towards the middle and tuck the sides under for it to be even take the shape of a pillow.
2. AIR CONDITIONING. I'm pretty sure it was just the time of year we were there but dang was it hot. I shouldn't complain too much because I heard it was not so nice back home, but just walking to class I felt like I wanted to go back ...
... go “Trick or Treating” with Kaia and the neighborhood kids. Ki was Little Red Riding Hood and Billy pulled the wagon for LOADS AND LOADS AND LOADS of the candy stash!
We had strong internet service for the first time in 10 days… and time to try to catch up on lost days of communication. (Hmmmm….in theory...)
A little change in plans, but hey that is what is so great about a road trip.
Since we saw everything we wanted to at Mall of America last night we were able to get away from Bloomington ahead of schedule by a couple of hours. Since we knew we had a little more time and our destination in Austin did not open till noon, we added a side trip to Red Wing, MN.
