... of Carlton lager in the company of Martin from Keswick, we spent hours and hours spotting wildlife, which consisted of one dingo - The previous day I had spotted loads of kangaroos and emus, but in the desert nothing except the eagles. We chatted to the train staff who gave us a copy of that mornings Adalaide daily news where there was a report on floods "of biblical proportion" in the lake district - Weird, we havent seen a cloud for 3 days ...

now i'm not talking about your stock-standard, run of the mill adventure here – oh no, those happen every day and there are thousands of stories written about those - no, this chick had set out on an all too rare remarkable adventure ...

... no tent, just the stars and critters around him. Brave boy!!!
Onto Nambung National Park to see the Pinnacles which are thousands of limestone pillars, all shapes and sizes. They look like soldiers standing to attention in the middle of the desert – a very unusual and eerie sight.
We left the Pinnacles, and went to a caravan park at Cervantes for the evening. After checking in at the office park, we found our camper van wouldn't turn ...
... kind of made up for the fact I was freezing and in some cramped room with a bunch of foreign people who had very little to say.
I get up and go to grab my stuff for a shower and before I know it this guy has sneaked in there before me. *******. I sit and wait and wait and hurry the **** up mate will you!! Eventually he comes out and I head for my quick shower...well I would have had there been any water. I fiddled around with the tap for a few ...
... would that get you in England!? sweet.
Will be good to get away from the city for a while, then when I come back it'll be warmer and can do some nice beach type things. And go up the coast a little too me thinks.
Then the plan, at the moment, is to get to Adelaide and do the Great Ocean Road so I'm in Melbourne about early November so I can hopefully get a job there and settle in for Xmas.
Ok- I can't remember when exactly these things happened.

Then its time for serious business down at Fishermen's harbour! There's several fish restaurants round the port and the large Little Creatures pub brewery complex! We would particulerly recommend the Kailis fish restaurant as a great spot by the water, very reasonably priced hot and cold seafood with, say, Semillon Sauvignon wine to help it down. Highly recommended for both eating there and takeaway.
... swimming is getting better and my sister Grace is mad she jumps in the pool on her own with her lifejacket on. We went to Perth city on the bus and the train and we went on a big wheel like the London Eye, we could see all over Perth and we have been to the beach losts of times, i love getting sandy.
Perth, Australia brodieclark... seem to stop eating 'treats'' that day! The Island is quite flat but lots of lovely sandy bays and on one little hill there is a lighthouse - I climbed to the top (169 steps) from where you can see the whole Island. We took the on-off bus which is mentioned below, great idea and we could hop off and see things on the way around the Island.

There is so much more to do on in Australia but for me, the highlight really was being able to see my friends again and to be able to spend time with them. The next time I visit this continent I will do the sightseeing but for now, its time to head back home to Africa and spend time with my family.
Thanks to everyone in Australia! You made this part of the trip unique!
... steps. Getting back in the car we stop at one more vineyard and it is here that mark gets offered a job. Kim is thoroughly chuffed to have helped sort her little bro out, playing the doting older sibling. Back at the tent we pack our stuff and say our goodbyes before getting on the road as we really didn't want to have another 3 hour drive before flying again as we had in Melbourne. Realising that we have left all of our maps with Mark we wend our way back to the domestic airport getting ...
