... in Italy! We did manage to find a smaller slope but there was no snow as it was lower down the mountain. We headed back to the other ski slope in town and went up that. There was a beginner slope there but also another mountain coaster like we went on in Germany. Obviously we went on that one too. There were awesome views over the side of the mountain and then you got to race the skiers at the bottom as you went along side the slope.
... on the slope! Well, not really, they were just flattening the snow I think but they were all in time and there was music so it looked funny. I took a video to add to this too.
There was some other cool stuff we wanted to do nearby. We drove to a castle and past an ice cave but they were both closed. It seems like a lot of things here close for winter which is a shame, there has been plenty to see anyway though and staying here has been very nice.
... After breakfast we returned to our rooms for a while, then headed off to the Markets at Dom Plaza, before finding a taxi and heading out of town, and into the forest for lunch at the Daxlueg. Our taxi driver seemed thrilled to get out of town (or earn €20 in one 20 minute drive) but also pulled over to photograph the view. He also gave us his card and said to ring him direct and he'd come and collect us. ...
... and telling Santa that our address for this year had changed, so he knew where to deliver the presents. Being in the snow of course made the job a little easier for him and the reindeers. As always, it was an early start to Christmas Day and the usual excitement. Light snow meant a morning trip to the tobogganing slopes was a perfect way to start the day and work up an appetite for our home cooked Christmas roast dinner. ... Alex had an awesome time but it was all a little too much for Samatha. She tried hard, but it was to scary. Alex continued with the lesson and learnt a little more control. Dave and I then team tagged skiing and looking after Samatha. I spent the last 1 and 1/2 hours with Alex skiing. We had a great time and did some great ski runs (some harder than I expected). Alex gained more control and can't wait until tomorrow for more skiing. ...
