Ha, Bad Gastein! A little city, all up and down following the U-formed mountain, in the U one has a little waterfall. Lovely! This "bad" name says what it is: a city about water. Empress Sisi came here to follow water cures, and lots of hotels here offer thermal arrangements!

... we allowed them the opportunity to play there for a while (eternally selfless parents) as P & I went to explore 'sauna world ' where kids are not allowed. Incredible! There must have been 12 or more different rooms with smells and heat ranging from 45c-95c, with pools and plunge pools, ice baths, and showers. I could live here, you can feel the pace of life is different, the air is delicious as is the fresh mountain water available from the drinking fountain in town. It's noticeable. ... along for Gen & Cece - they must be in Italy or somewhere?! They're not with us - so I have bought them a fleece each. We found a store with a discount table with fleeces for €6.99. We found two with hoods for €14.99 each - not bad - but we all match now (bar Paul) we are the pink 'Regatta' girls! Scarlett is suitably embarrassed!
