... illness. Dinner was schnitzel and potatoes followed by a strudel. Finally good food, pork schnitzel has always held a fond place in my heart. Love. Post dinner we made our way back to the hotel for an attempt at an early night. Not incredibly exciting but totally necessary. Germany bound tomorrow then onwards to Amsterdam. ... We parked in the town and walked to the lake which was very nice in the sunshine.

At the lake there was a pontoon which was nice to walk out onto, the water was amazingly clear in the lake you could see right to the bottom. There was also a little swimming pool which was part of the lake but with steps down to it - I cant believe people actually swim in there!! It was iced over at the sides which shows how cold it is. Its very refreshing walking in the ...

... traditional choir carols. And then, with a trumpet flourish and a lot of dry ice, the Christmas fairy appeared on the balcony! I had no idea what she said, but she looked wonderful with her long blonde curls, her sparkly robe and the glitter she cast about her, and I was spellbound... though I'm sure the gluwein helped with that!

... the booked Mozart Dinner Concert at the St. Peter's Stiftskeller. Dinner and performance was held in the beautiful Barocksaal. Very enjoyable, the chamber orchestra (2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello and double base) played very well, the two singers (soprano and baritone) where average. They played and sang arias and duets of Don Giovanni, La Nozze die Figaro and Die Zauberflöte. Food was good, wine ...
