... illness. Dinner was schnitzel and potatoes followed by a strudel. Finally good food, pork schnitzel has always held a fond place in my heart. Love. Post dinner we made our way back to the hotel for an attempt at an early night. Not incredibly exciting but totally necessary. Germany bound tomorrow then onwards to Amsterdam. Can't help but be a little bit excited bar the not being able to ride a bike thing, that may or may not prove tricky. Over and out from Austria C & W ...

... its not snowing and you can just enjoy the sun.

We decided to go to Mondsee next which is another lake town. It was very pretty as it was surrounded by mountains on all sides. There was one restaurant open there which was right on the lake front and had a lovely view. We had some lunch there and watched the tour busses come through. I'm glad we got a car and can explore in our own time is all I'm going to say about that haha!

... traditional choir carols. And then, with a trumpet flourish and a lot of dry ice, the Christmas fairy appeared on the balcony! I had no idea what she said, but she looked wonderful with her long blonde curls, her sparkly robe and the glitter she cast about her, and I was spellbound... though I'm sure the gluwein helped with that!

... a better view of the snow capped mountains and had lunch. I bought 2 little Mozart chocolate balls. Eating the Mozart chocolate is one of the things you have to try. The chocolate was made in his honour in 1800. We got back on the road again and drove along an auto bahn to innsbruck.
