... at home in Myrtle Beach, spending Christmas with my son who’s visiting from Colorado we decide to take a day playing tourist. We hit the wax museum and the aquarium, the alligator farm and Margaritaville. I was successful today, no kitsch purchased (though it was close with the “Fins Up” Adirondack chair Christmas ornament!). No matter where you are in the world, at some point you’ll have to exit through the gift ...

From then on the day unfolded as planned, catching the tides just right and hitting all waypoints on schedule. The incoming tide carried us up Winyah Bay and we actually sailed ...

... buffet breakfast all for 55$! What!!! We had a nice clean ocean view room. Chris was getting a cold so it was probably a good plan for as to get the hotel because we pretty much spent the entire afternoon taking naps and watching football and playing videogames. We brought food from our van into the room and had a picnic of sorts. It was nice just spreading out and relaxing. Chris felt much better after getting some good sleep and I enjoyed the warmth. Overall I think it was a good ...

... Bridge that marks the southernmost end of this boring waterway. An hour prior to the bridge the rain started and conditions at the helm rapidly became miserable. Rather than continue in the rain we decided to call it a short day and anchor behind the small island in the loop. Dry and with Mr. Heater going we read and napped until dinner. Maggie produced a nice meal of salmon patties, pasta and red wine. The meal was excellent and we'll hunker down here for ...
