... at Busch Stadium. Of course, Melina was injured and didn't play in tonight's game and the Cardinals lost 9-1 but it was a beautiful night to be at a baseball game. It was fun to explore a new stadium. Busch Stadium is also another "notch" in Steve and Will's quest to see as many ballparks as possible. Tomorrow, we're continuing our trek eastward with a stop in Lexington, ...
Four Midwestern states today (Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri), endless fields of corn, car games, and we finally crossed the mighty Mississippi and arrived at the St. Louis Cardinals stadium. It was a sea of red and lots of fun, but the Cards lost to the Pirates. The arch ...

We were able to see 15 + trains (Newt had replicas of all but a couple). The added easter egg was a show room filled with Classic Cars; Model A's, T's, Mustang's, Bobby Darrin's Car, etc. The fifties seem to be best era of car design. Talk about a nice front ...

Now it was time to go back to the hotel and collect our luggage and go to the
airport. We choose to drive to the airport via the Garden District instead of getting right
on the interstate near the hotel, so that we got to see some nice scenery.
Upon arrival at the airport we dropped the rental car at Avis and made the walk to
the main terminal building. I didn’t find the walk long at all, but for people like my mother

Historical Traveler Reviews St. Louis Union Station Hotel Saint Louis
High on the Hyatt
The stay at the Hyatt on your advise was excellent. Rooms were beautiful, the service was excellent and the hotel is located in a mall which allowed the kids to shop until they dropped. It was one of the best places to stay. We had easy access to the Metro-Link which got us to all of the sites we wanted to see. Restaurants nearby were excellent and restaurants in the mall were above average also. Great place to stay!!
Great Hotel - Use valet Parking!
We loved our stay at this hotel. It was within walking distance to tons of stuff. The meatloaf at the Hard Rock Cafe is WONDERFUL!!. Though I didn't want to, we used valet parking the entire time we were there. It's just too darn far to park and walk, carrying bags and kids.
Loved Union Station
Excellent Hotel! The lobby was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were clean and spacious. The ajoining rooms were great for traveling with small children. We enjoyed the shops in Union Station, great restraunts, and comedy club. I would definately stay there again. Great price.
Not your ordinary hotel
Just returned from an enjoyable stay at this great old and unique hotel. If you like history and/or restoration, this is a must see. The hotel is located within walking distance of the river, Arch and stadium. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was above average and amazingly quiet. The mall has something for everyone and is family-friendly. Would definately return.
We stayed here recently over the July 4th holiday. Hotel was fully booked, and they may have been short-staffed as well, which was evident on check-in, as we were severely delayed in getting into our room. We were on the Regency Club level, and may have had too high of expectations, as we were somewhat disappointed in our room. It seemed a little small for an upgraded room, and was also not a king as we had requested. My spouse had stayed at this property previously and had a standard garden room, and thought that it was a nicer room. However, the evening hors d'ouerves and continental breakfast available at the Regency Club level were very both very nice.
The weekend of June 18-20 my husband and I booked a very last minute trip to St. Louis hoping to see Ken Griffey, Jr. hit his 500th home run. We were thrilled with both Jr.'s home run and our stay at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel at Union Station.
The Hyatt Regency is an absolutely gorgeous hotel! It's architecture and details are wonderful. Rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. Every possible room ammenity is provided including a phone and black and white television in the bathroom. Because the hotel is actually built into the Union Station mall, stores, activities and restaraunts of every kind are right outside your door! However, you'd never know it as hotel engineers have done an outstanding job of sound-proofing the guest rooms.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, rooms were great except fot the fact that the drapes could not be closed, so therfor the outside lights shined in our eyes all night. OMG... the parking was VERY bad... one would think for the price of the rooms parking lot fees would be included! $12.00 a day OUCH and thats ONLY if someone tells you you have to BUY a parking voucher from the front desk... other wise its $24.00 a day! there were 2 of us in the room, coffee maker was a single cup coffee maker... with only one packet of coffee... called the front desk for a differnt coffee maker and more coffee and cream, was asked if I wanted regular coffee or decaf... requested reg. even received a call back to recheck on the kind. When it was brought to the room, i had two packs of decaf. and was told they did not have any cream! How can that be??? When I made the coffee in the morning... what a mess I had, the pot was not the correct pot for the maker, it was not tall enough to push up the little stopper on the bottom of the "coffee basket" so the coffee did not drip into the pot, it just filled up and went out the top.... We went to the "pop" machine on our floor, it was out of order, went to a differnt floor with a pocket full of change only to find out that the machine would only take BILLS!!!! That was our first day/night the second day/night went just fine!
A beautiful hotel!
We stayed at the hotel for one night on August 7th. This is beautiful hotel. Rooms are very spacious, the bathroom is beautiful. Great location with many restaurants and clubs in very close proximity. I agree with previous poster about the parking. I usually do not make use of valet parking, but I wish I had in this instance as the parking is very far away. Loved this hotel, though and would stay there again any time.
Loved the Hotel, Hated the parking.
I loved the Hotel, Union Station is a must see in St Louis. The entire Hotel staff went out of the way to help ( and you need help because it is easy to get lost ). Parking is the biggest problem. I recomend using the Valet, even if you normally don't. Parking is a long way away. the parking garage is a block away and at the parking lot you must travel all the way through the Union Station. The rooms are great, the atmospher is wonderful. A very nice stay.
