... to catch up on the last few months. There was a lot to talk about and it was really goods to see each other again after all this time, although already it's like we’ve never been apart. We met up with Erica and went out for brunch at a small eating place round the corner from the hotel. I had my first introduction to Indian food and I had to say I was impressed. Maybe I’ll be converted to an Indian food fan after all! The rest of the day was spent chatting and lazing ...

... who couldn't work her in-flight entertainment system. Nor could I but I got some respect and some chewing gum from her for trying. Landing and check-in at Tribhuvan was uneventful but the taxi I had to get (because Kathmandu Guest House transport wasn't there when I arrived half-an-hour late) was little but bare metal and an all-pervading smell of diesel. However, the peace and tranquility of the Kathmandu Guest House (KGH) more than made up for that.
Delhi, India steve.kimberleyAccording to the ministry of urban development and planning, the percentage of Indian urban population is likely to grow from 35% to 45% over the next 15 years, while India's population is likely to cross 1.25 billion by then. New Delhi, India mariatanzania... for once has women at an advantage but not this woman. Lots of men....not your light-skinned Bollywood-babe type but obviously the kind that blends in with the dark and looks scroungy. I see very few women on the streets here. For every 20 men, there must be 1 woman. In India, women and their lives don't appear to have much visibility here ...
Delhi, India grrrl.traveler... I was not alone in my nighttime airport adventure as I met an Australian girl who was doing the same thing on her way to Egypt. The airport in Abu Dhabi had a similar feel to what I experienced last summer when I was in the Middle East. You see people walking around in turbans and sheet looking attire and you get the feeling that you have stepped into a star wars movie or another planet. People stared at me the entire time, probably ...
New delhi, India cgibsonwsu... the super nifty, and super new, metro, before heading out for some supper round the corner. Tomorrow we will attempt to actually get to grips with Delhi - the old town, its bazaars, forts and mosques - before embarking on our final journey home at about 2am. We hope you have enjoyed hearing about our little journey. This blog has certainly been quite fun for us to do, so we hope you enjoyed reading it. See you all back home! Dhanyavad (Thank you)
