... to Mysore to see the palace there. Again the driver had to ask for directions. But the palace was pretty impressive, despite having to walk around barefoot through all kinds of animal poo! It was built in the early 1900s for the Wodeyars, the royal family of Mysore, and designed by a Briton which was obvious in the architecture.

Some hotels in India work on the 24 hour rule. As I had arrived on an overnight bus and arrived at the hotel at 7.30 am, I had to check out at 7.30 am.
