... and bothering us. That was enough for today. Off to the palace , just missed it, closed for the evening. No worries there is next week to return. Silk, sandalwood and incense

... rice, bean sprouts and powdered colours used to paint with and apply the dots on their foreheads. Afterwards we went into a sandalwood warehouse type shop where many people were carving designs into the wood to be used for chairs, beds and various furniture. Next was an insense factory, we watched a woman roll a mix of coal, honey and sandalwood oil onto sandalwood sticks. She made around 6000 a day apparently. After arriving in Mysore we found our accommodation, very quiet ayurvedic centre a just out of the city centre. Set on 25 acres, it's beautiful and quiet. We explored the city market last night-best market yet. We were gently lead into a perfume and oil shop, managed by 2 cousins who made oils - part of their family tradition for 70 years.
