Mysore is dry, hot and sunny!!!! Finally some summer weather! The city of Mysore is great; it has an amazing bazaar selling foods, spices and oils. Fruit and veg here bears no resemblance to Tesco produce; the broad beans are a metre long!  The hotel we stayed in was a bit odd; i think it used to be a prison as there was a sign outside our room 'inmates are asked to be quiet'! We cheekily got all are wet smelly clothes from Munnar laundered at the hotel. I ...

... remember! That afternoon, Amaresh took me out on Jerry and we went sightseeing! But first, to get a phone.... its a massive ball ache to get a sim card over here, foreigners have to wait 3 days to get one. We didn't have the luxury of time, so Amaresh put it in his name, still a ball ache even for an Indian! you need id, proof of address and all sorts. So we got the sim, but it wouldn't be activated till they had done background checks on Amaresh! then we went to get a phone!! ...

... much choice we decided to go with the best decorated tuktuk (for the festival they were all covered in banana leaves and flowers) they looked like funny flowery trees whizzing in and out of traffic.
